Windows Application for Beyonwiz PVRs
Adds or
removes .ts extensions to all the 32MB tvwiz files so they can be played
in VLC or any media playing software that supports playing .ts files. It
can now also combine all the 32MB parts into one large .ts file - by
creating a new merged file in the same directory as the 32MB parts files.
For more information see this beyonwiz forum discussion.

For MediaStar & Arion PVRs with firmware that supports IceTV
Converts xmltv files from any source to MediaStar DW-820PVR/DT-920PVR and Arion AT-9300PVR compatible EPG dat files. I've tested it with xmltv files from 10 different sources (including IceTv).
Suitable for Free-To-Air and Satellite PVRs.
To use the EPG Convertor just download, unzip wherever
you like (keeping the included directory structure intact), copy your xmltv file to the
Data
directory and name the xmltv file xmltv.xml.
Then run xml2ms.exe and it will create a file called ice_epg.dat. Now connect
your PVR's USB to your PC and copy the ice_epg.dat file to the PVR's EPG
directory.
Or you can call it from the command line or a batch file and use the path/name
of your xmltv file as a parameter - see the included readme for further
information.
You can also specify a drive to upload the ice_epg.dat file to the PVR. And you can also specify a time offset (plus or minus) in minutes to adjust the
program
times in your source data.

Convert MPEG2-TS video files to upload and play on the PVR
This is my working beta program for creating the avf header file and inserting the avr file
headers into mpeg2-ts video files so that they can be played on the Arion
AT-9300PVR, MediaStar DW-820PVR/DT-920PVR, Eycos 50.12 and Echostar 5020 PVRs.
If your video files are not already in the mpeg2-ts format you need to convert first convert them - and split them at 2GB if they're larger than 2GB - using a suitable program (like ProjectX or VideoRedo etc).

more information see

Change the TV Channel Names in your xmltv files

Some xmltv applications depend on the channel names in the xmltv
file always being the same. If you want or need to switch data sources you'll
often also need to change the channel names in the xmltv file.
This program will replace
any specified channel names in any text file with your new specified channel
names. It's ideal for changing weird channel names like
freesd.Sydney.2-2 to
ABC etc.
It supports an unlimited number of channel names to change. And it can
actually replace any text strings in any text file with your specified text
strings. If you carefully set the order of names to change in the ini file you
can switch xmltv data sources when ever you want and run ChannelFixer to change
the channel names to what you require - without needing to change the names in
the ini file.
For
more information see my
Channel Fixer web page
and the included readme.

Replace specified Titles with the first part of the Subtitle or Description
This program is for users of IceTV or other xmltv data where sports events often have uninformative titles like MOTORSPORT or TENNIS etc. XMLTV Title Fixer will replace the titles you specify (in the ini file) with the first sentence of the extended description like F1GP from Melbourne or Australian Open Men's Round 3. The number of user configurable titles to fix are unlimited.
When you run Title
Fixer it will:
1.) Backup listings.xml to listings.bak
2.) Fix the titles in listings.xml
3.) Pop-up a message informing you how many titles it changed (and
close the message after 5 seconds).
Note: Currently the input file must be named listings.xml

Merge 2 xmltv files and optionally rename or delete channels
This application will merge 2 xmltv files into one valid xmltv
file. Optionally
it will also rename any specified channel names and/or delete any unwanted
channels (and the data for that channel). You can, for example, for merge
ABC2 and SBS-News data from one xmltv source with
ABC, 7,
9 and 10 data from
another xmltv source - that does not include ABC2 or SBS-News data, but has
better extended information for the other channels - while deleting the
duplicate ABC, 7, 9 and 10 channel data from the first source's xmltv file.

HTML Decoder
Convert all HTML entities in the input file into extended
characters. For example the character á will
be converted into á. For decoding your xmltv file
for those xmltv applications that don't display html characters correctly. Or
for decoding html in any text file. To
use html-decode.exe just call htmldecode from a batch file or a command window
with input and output files specified with the following switches.
Example:
htmldecode -input=[path\]file -output=[path\]file

Windows

TopKiller
Command line application
for killing running applications - especially stubborn, hard to close
applications. It can be called from any Windows application or script etc
and will run invisibly in the background and close when finished.
TopKiller kills applications in a diferent way for each parameter used. The -c
(class name) parameter closes the application cleanly. The -n (exe name)
parameter uses brute force. For some stubborn applications you may need to use
both.
Example:
topkiller -nMyApp.exe -cMyAppMain

Icon to
Bitmap

Extracts icons from ico, exe and dll files and saves them as 16x16 or
32x32 pixel bitmaps. If the file contains more than one icon you can
select which icon to extract by setting the icon index. Or you can extract
all the icons by checking ALL. The extracted bitmaps are saved in the same
directory as file that contains the icons.
